GINEVA WHOLESALE PROGRAM

Introduction

Inspired by the stunning city of Venezia, and the breathtaking and timeless glass of Murano, Italy, designers Christina and Christopher Kurtin created their distinguished line of authentic Murano glass jewelry in 2009.

Their desire was to transform the average jewelry, found on the streets of Italy, into an elegant, distinctive line of jewelry streamlined for the exciting life of the American consumer. A line that would live and breath her desires and passions; and could be handed down from generation to generation. As a result, the heirloom line of GINEVA jewelry was born with the unique quality of being both trendy and classic. The perfect gift for you or yours.

About Murano

The island of Murano, just a ten minute boat ride off the coast of Venice, Italy, is home to the most famous glass blowers in the world. The Master Craftsmen of Murano are the number one glass blowers in the world; and have set the standards in the glass blowing industry since their inception in the 13th century. It is a timehonored tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation.

For anyone who has been to this beautiful region, you know that they major in glass, but not necessarily jewelry. You can find quality jewelry, but it is usually untouchable price wise. In fact, much of the jewelry you will find on the streets is comprised of lower grade glass and costume components. Therefore, it is priced accordingly, in an effort to attract the tourists.

About GINEVA

GINEVA’s studio is located in East Haddam, CT; a quaint New England town nestled on the banks of the lovely Connecticut River Valley. GINEVA is a “Made in the US” product.

GINEVA’s glass is hand blown by Master Craftsmen on the island of Murano. It is of the finest glass offered, and GINEVA hand selects this famous glass and imports it to the United States. With this glass, GINEVA’s beautiful, quality, authentic Murano Glass jewelry is created and designed. Their use of Swarovski Crystals, .925 Sterling Silver, or 14Kt Gold Filled designs ads to the rarity of each piece.

So many distinguished travelers frequent the Island of Murano and are thrilled to see GINEVA’s stunning line offered here in the United States. The GINEVA line is comprised of glass that is hand blown on the beautiful island of Murano, Italy, just off the coast of VENICE.

They hand select and import this breathtaking glass to their Studio in Connecticut where the GINEVA line is created and designed. So, it’s “MADE IN THE USA”.

Typically, quality, authentic Murano Glass Jewelry is double the cost where offered elsewhere.

NOTE: Use the Product Knowledge Guide to describe the different types of glass.

Introducing GINEVA to your customer who is familiar with Murano:

Oh great! So you know! They are the number one glass blowers in the world. They major in glass, but not necessarily jewelry.

On the streets, you typically find the lower quality glass on plated base metal.

You can find authentic jewelry, but it is not usually touchable price wise.

So GINEVA works with the master craftsmen, hand selects and imports this breathtaking glass to their Studio in Connecticut where the GINEVA line is created and designed.

GINEVA uses .925 Sterling Silver or 14Kt Gold Filled Designs and Swarovski Crystals on many pieces. Keeping the quality of the piece in line with the exquisite glass.

So, it’s a “MADE IN THE USA”.

Typically quality, authentic Murano Glass Jewelry would be double the cost.

About Murano’s Glass Product Knowledge

The Island of Murano is just a 10 mile boat ride off the coast of Venice, Italy. On this beautiful island you will find the home of the world’s most famous Glass, ‘Murano Glass’. Master Craftsmen have honed their glass making skills for over 700 years in the Veneto region of Italy.

This tradition, passed down from generation to generation, requires an Apprentice to study for nearly 20 years before earning the title "Master Craftsman". This prerequisite is almost an unimaginable length of time in today's world; which helps makes this craft, as well as the Island it is created on, a historical, time honored tradition.

The Glass Blowers infuse 24kt Gold, Sterling Silver, and Adventurina (sparkling copper) in the majority of the glass. That’s one of the reason’s it is more exclusive than other blown glass.

Each individual bead is hand blown by a Master Craftsman. Many of the pearls (beads) have designs inside the glass that are created by the Craftsman by slicing glass, or sprinkling glass pieces inside other glass, to create beautiful designs.

The beauty of Murano glass is that each piece is individually hand blown, so no two pieces are ever exactly alike!
